Getting it to you

Delivery

Free, insured and signed for anywhere in the UK. The number that matters is not the postage, it is the making, so that is the number we lead with.

14 to 21 days

Made first, posted second

We hold no stock at all. The day you order, your size and material go to the workshop that makes that design, and 14 to 21 working days later it is finished, checked and posted. Precious metal above the hallmarking thresholds spends part of that window at an Assay Office, which is not a delay so much as the law being satisfied.

Then one working day in the post, tracked and signed for. So from pressing pay to opening the box, plan on three to four and a half weeks.

If a workshop tells us a ring will run past that window, you hear it the day we do, and you can cancel for a full refund at that point for any reason.

Wedding dates

Order eight weeks out, not four

The lead time above is the making. It is not the buffer you want between a courier's bad week and the only day of your life that cannot move.

Eight weeks before the wedding leaves room to order, receive, try it on for a fortnight, and still send it back and have another made if the size is wrong. Four weeks leaves room for none of that.

Tell us your date when you order and we will say plainly whether it works. If it does not, we will say so rather than take the money and hope.

Insured

Signed for, both ways, at our cost

Every ring travels fully insured on a tracked service that requires a signature. Until it is handed over at your address it is our risk, not yours. Nothing is left in a porch, in a bin store or with a neighbour.

Returns are insured too and we pay the postage. A return that costs you money is a return policy with a catch in it.

The parcel is plain and carries no jeweller's branding on the outside, which matters for a proposal and matters again for anything worth stealing.

UK only

Where we deliver

Anywhere in the United Kingdom, including the Highlands, the islands and Northern Ireland, at the same price of nothing. Remote postcodes can add a day to the courier leg and we will tell you if yours is one.

We do not ship internationally yet. Import duty, local sales tax and a customs declaration on a precious item all land on the customer at their own door, and we are not prepared to sell someone a surprise bill.

Questions

How long until my ring arrives?
14 to 21 working days from order to posting, then one working day in the post. Every ring is made after you order it, in your size, so there is no warehouse to pick it from and nothing we can do to skip the making.
Do you deliver on a Saturday?
Rings go out on a tracked next working day service that delivers Monday to Friday. If a Saturday matters, say so when you order and we will look at what is possible for that address.
Can I have it sent somewhere other than my home?
Yes, and for a surprise proposal it is usually the sensible choice. Give that address at checkout. It must be an address where somebody can sign, so a workplace works and a locker does not.
What if I miss the delivery?
The courier leaves a card and tries again the next working day, then holds the parcel at a local depot. Nothing insured is ever left in a porch or with a neighbour, which is occasionally inconvenient and is the entire point.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not yet. Every ring posted abroad brings import duty, local VAT and a customs declaration for a precious item, and getting that wrong makes it the customer's problem at their door. We would rather add it properly than add it early.
Is it insured?
Yes, for its full value, in both directions. A return we have asked you to send is insured too, and we pay for it.
