Prices include UK delivery and engraving. Weights are estimates for a plain 6mm band at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall (how they are worked out); the solid gold bands carry the maker's own weight on each ring's page. Surface hardness is on the Mohs scale, where a higher number resists fine scratches better.
Most women's wedding rings are worn between 2mm and 4mm, narrow enough to sit beside an engagement ring, and a band worn on its own is often 4mm to 6mm. The slimmest rings here are solid 9ct and 18ct gold at 2mm and 3mm; the titanium, black zirconium and anodised colour bands start at 4mm, which is where a pattern or a line of gold still has room to read.
Every couple set has a hers ring drawn to sit beside his: the same pattern, often slimmer, in 9ct or 18ct gold. Either ring can be bought on its own, and the pair together is ten per cent off. The engagement rings are lab grown and natural diamond solitaires, set in 9ct, 14ct or 18ct gold or platinum, each stone chosen against its laboratory report.
Bands are made in UK sizes G to Z and solitaires in F to T, and a wider band sits a little snugger than a slim one at the same size. The size finder measures from a ring you already own, and every UK size has its own page with its US and European equivalents.
About women's rings
- What width should a woman's wedding ring be?
- 2mm or 3mm is the classic choice beside an engagement ring, and 4mm to 6mm for a band worn on its own. Our slimmest bands are 2mm in solid gold; the titanium and zirconium bands start at 4mm. The band width guide shows each width in millimetres and grams.
- Will a slim band sit flat against my engagement ring?
- A slim court or flat band sits neatly beside most solitaires, and the two are made to be worn together. A ring with a low setting can leave a small gap beside a straight band, which many people like; the band width guide shows how each width reads on the hand.
- Which metals suit sensitive skin?
- Titanium, zirconium and platinum are hypoallergenic, so they are the natural choice for skin that reacts to nickel. Each material page sets out what the metal is and how it wears.
- Can my ring match my partner's?
- Yes. Every couple set pairs a hers ring with his in the same design, and many bands are made from slim to wide, so a matching pair can be the same ring in two widths. Both together come off ten per cent for a couple set, or five per cent for any two bands.
- What sizes are women's rings made in?
- Bands in UK G to Z and solitaires in F to T, all at the same price whatever the size. If you are not sure yet, choose I do not know yet and the size is confirmed before anything is made.
