Budget questions

How much should you spend on an engagement ring?
Start with an amount that fits your finances and other plans. There is no required salary multiple. This planner compares starting prices for selected Trothe rings; the product page shows the price for your chosen stone, metal and setting.
How much do wedding rings cost in the UK?
For examples from Trothe, our plain titanium band starts at £165 and our 2mm slim solid-gold band starts at £515 in 9ct. These are our prices, not a UK market average. Width, metal and design affect the final price.
Is it cheaper to buy wedding rings as a pair?
Some Trothe sets have a pair offer. Check the relevant set page for its current price and included rings. This planner splits your total equally and uses individual starting prices; it does not apply pair offers.
What is the cheapest metal for a wedding ring?
In this planner’s selected wedding bands, plain titanium has the lowest starting price. A gold inlay is a different construction from a solid-gold band. Compare the whole ring’s width, design and care requirements as well as its metal.
Should I spend more on the engagement ring or the wedding ring?
There is no fixed split. Decide which features matter to each of you, then compare options within the total you want to spend. Pair mode gives each wedding ring half the budget; for an uneven split, check each person’s allocation using One wedding ring.
