Rather than a groove cut into a flat face, the band is stepped: two distinct levels at different heights, one black and one bright. It reads as architectural rather than decorative.

Each ring divides black zirconium from bright metal along a single line around the band, and that shared split is what makes them a pair. Twin groove does it with a V cut into a flat face: black on one side of the groove, bright on the other, and very legible from across a room. Stepped two tone does it with height, raising one level above the other so the change of colour is also a change of plane. Together, one ring reads as drawn and the other as built, and their halves echo across two hands.
Twin groove is a satin black zirconium band with its V groove around the centre, offered from 4 to 10mm. Stepped two tone shares the material, the satin finish and the width range, and reads as architectural rather than decorative. Each is hypoallergenic and noticeably lighter than a gold band of the same size. Either stands alone as a two tone ring with no plating involved anywhere.

Width matters more here than with most designs, because both rings depend on a clear division between black and bright. On a wider band each tone gets more room; on a narrow one the contrast becomes a fine line. A couple who prefer the same look on both hands might choose one design twice. The pairing is for those who like the idea of one division, expressed two ways.
