About this ring

Trinity knots, gold inlay, in detail

A strip of solid 9ct gold runs around the centre of satin titanium, set flush, and the trinity knots are cut through the gold itself. The pattern is therefore drawn in two metals: the gold surface, and where the knots are cut, the grey titanium beneath showing through. In the rose and yellow version two golds share the inlay, so the band carries both warm tones at once. In white gold the contrast is gentler, pale on grey, and the knots read more as engraving than as colour.

How it wears

The gold on this ring is solid, not plated and not gold coloured, so there is no surface layer to wear away. The titanium that carries it is light and can collect fine marks with daily wear; the satin finish and the cut knotwork both help those blend in. The inlay sits flush with the band, so the surface is smooth to the touch. Every metal in the ring is hypoallergenic.

Choosing yours

The choice that matters most is the gold. Rose and yellow together make the warmest, most visibly golden ring, and suit someone who wants the inlay to be noticed. White gold keeps the band in one cool tone, so the knots read as pattern rather than colour. Widths run from 4 to 10mm, the narrower end suiting a slimmer finger or a ring meant to read quietly. It pairs with itself, so a couple can each choose a different gold and still wear the same design.

The metal, in brief

Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.

Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Trinity knots, gold inlay

Can this ring be resized?
Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
Is engraving included?
Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
How long will it take?
2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
Can I return it if I have it engraved?
Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
How much does the Trinity knots, gold inlay ring weigh?
About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £675, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £700, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
What is closest to the Trinity knots, gold inlay in the range?
Gold line, three diamonds (titanium with gold inlay) and Hammered black, gold line (black zirconium with gold inlay). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
