About this ring
Wide gold inlay, titanium, in detail
A 3mm strip of solid 9ct yellow gold runs down the centre of a titanium band, set flush, polished on the gold and satin on the titanium. The contrast is one of finish as well as colour: the gold shines while the titanium on either side gathers the light into a soft grey. Most of what you see is gold, and on the hand it reads as a gold ring in a modern frame. It is the widest single inlay in the range, one unbroken colour where the two-gold inlay splits the same width in half.
How it wears
This is where titanium earns its place. The ring looks like a great deal of gold, yet the band underneath weighs so little that it sits lightly on the finger. The satin titanium can pick up fine marks, and its brushed texture absorbs them. The polished gold, like any polished surface, will collect fine marks of its own and mellow in shine over time without losing its colour. The inlay is flush, so nothing catches, and the ring is hypoallergenic throughout.
Choosing yours
Width decides how much frame the gold receives. At 4 or 5mm the 3mm inlay almost fills the face and the ring reads as solid yellow; at 6 or 7mm a clear grey border appears; at 8 to 10mm the titanium becomes a broad setting and the gold a bold central band. It suits someone who wants a generous amount of yellow gold without its usual weight. For a partner who prefers less, Gold line, titanium carries the same yellow in a finer line, and the two sit comfortably together.

| 6mm | Classic, the usual starting point for a band | 2.2g | £795 |

Weights are estimates for a plain band of the same width in titanium at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall, from the model in our ring weight calculator. The price steps up at the widths that take more metal to make.

The metal, in brief
Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.
Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Wide gold inlay, titanium
- Can this ring be resized?
- Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
- Is engraving included?
- Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
- How long will it take?
- 2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
- Can I return it if I have it engraved?
- Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
- How much does the Wide gold inlay, titanium ring weigh?
- About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
- What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
- 4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £795, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £820, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
- What is closest to the Wide gold inlay, titanium in the range?
- Hammered gold inlay, titanium (titanium with gold inlay) and Gold line, three diamonds (titanium with gold inlay). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
- What if I get the size wrong?
- If it is unengraved, return it inside 30 days and we refund it, and we pay the postage. Use the free ring size finder first if you are unsure, and if the ring is a surprise, ask us and we will talk you through the ways to find out without asking them.
