Plain titanium wedding ring
From £165
The lightest ring we make, and the simplest.
Titanium at about 4.5 grams per cubic centimetre, under a third of the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. A flat court, rounded inside for comfort, with a satin centre and bright polished edges as pictured, or polished all over. Made to order in Britain in 4–10mm widths. GETi says its standard designs normally use Grade 2 and reserves Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so confirm the grade on the order rather than assuming one across the range.

About this ring
Plain titanium wedding ring, in detail
A flat court band in titanium: flat across the top, rounded on the inside where it meets the finger. As pictured, the centre is satin and both edges are polished bright, so a soft grey face sits between two thin lines of light. Polished all over, the same profile becomes one continuous mirror that picks up whatever is around it. There is no pattern, no line and no stone. It is the plainest ring in the range and the lightest, and most of the other titanium designs here begin from a band much like this one.
How it wears
Titanium sits at about 4.5 grams per cubic centimetre, so the band is easy to forget on the hand, even at 10mm. The metal is around Mohs 6 and gathers fine surface marks over time. On the satin centre they blend into the brushed grain; on a band polished all over they show sooner, as a soft haze across the shine. Titanium is hypoallergenic, so it suits skin that reacts to other metals, and taking it off for heavy or abrasive work keeps the surface at its best.
Choosing yours
Width does most of the work here. At 4 or 5mm the band reads as a quiet line. At 6 or 7mm it sits in the middle ground and suits a wide range of hands. From 8 to 10mm it gives a broad, flat face that still weighs very little, which is where titanium earns its place.
Satin with polished edges keeps the outline crisp and is the more forgiving of the two finishes; polished all over is brighter and more traditional in feel. For a pair, two widths of the same ring is the simplest match there is.
Width by width
| Width | How it reads | Weight, est. | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4mm | Slim, the quietest everyday width | 1.5g | £165 |
| 5mm | Between slim and classic | 1.8g | £165 |
| 6mm | Classic, the usual starting point for a band | 2.2g | £165 |
| 7mm | Classic to broad, more of the pattern shows | 2.5g | £165 |
| 8mm | Broad, a ring that is clearly there | 2.9g | £190 |
| 9mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.3g | £190 |
| 10mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.6g | £190 |
Weights are estimates for a plain band of the same width in titanium at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall, from the model in our ring weight calculator. The price steps up at the widths that take more metal to make.

The metal, in brief
Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.
Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Plain titanium wedding ring
- Can this ring be resized?
- Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
- Is engraving included?
- Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
- How long will it take?
- 2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
- Can I return it if I have it engraved?
- Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
- How much does the Plain titanium ring weigh?
- About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
- What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
- 4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £165, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £190, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
- What is closest to the Plain titanium in the range?
- Ribbed, titanium (titanium) and Faceted, titanium (titanium). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
- What if I get the size wrong?
- If it is unengraved, return it inside 30 days and we refund it, and we pay the postage. Use the free ring size finder first if you are unsure, and if the ring is a surprise, ask us and we will talk you through the ways to find out without asking them.
