About this ring
Latin phrase, titanium, in detail
A flat profile titanium band with chamfered edges, engraved with a Latin phrase on the outside and its English translation on the inside. The four standard phrases are Una in perpetuum (Together forever), Amor vincit omnia (Love conquers all), Amor meus amplior quam verba est (My love is more than words) and Amor est vitae essentia (Love is the essence of life); a phrase of your own can be engraved instead, as in the photograph.
How it wears
Both phrases are engraved into the titanium. Titanium is light, at 4.5 grams per cubic centimetre, and hypoallergenic.
Choosing yours
Choose your phrase when you order, or write your own with its English meaning. A ring made with your phrase is yours alone, so it cannot come back for a change of mind.
Width by width
| Width | How it reads | Weight, est. | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6mm | Classic, the usual starting point for a band | 2.2g | £299 |
| 7mm | Classic to broad, more of the pattern shows | 2.5g | £299 |
| 8mm | Broad, a ring that is clearly there | 2.9g | £324 |
| 9mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.3g | £324 |
| 10mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.6g | £324 |
Weights are estimates for a plain band of the same width in titanium at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall, from the model in our ring weight calculator. A pattern cut into the surface removes a little metal, so the finished ring is slightly lighter. The price steps up at the widths that take more metal to make.

The metal, in brief
Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. Our maker says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.
Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Latin phrase, titanium
- Can this ring be resized?
- A little, and only larger. Titanium is not cut and rejoined like gold, but the inside of the band can often be machined to make it slightly bigger. Because it cannot go smaller, the size is settled when you order and the ring is made to that measurement.
- How long will it take?
- 2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
- How much does the Latin phrase, titanium ring weigh?
- About 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
- What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
- 6 to 10mm. 6mm, 7mm are £299, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £324, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
- What is closest to the Latin phrase, titanium in the range?
- Linked names, titanium (titanium) and Heartbeat, titanium (titanium). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
- What if I get the size wrong?
- Settle the size before it is made, because a ring made with your phrase cannot come back for a change of mind. Use the free ring size finder, or choose I do not know yet and we confirm the size with you before anything is made. If the ring arrives in a size other than the one you ordered, we put it right.
