About this ring
Linked names, titanium, in detail
A flat profile titanium band engraved on the outside with two names in script, joined by one continuous line that runs around the band, as photographed. The names in the photograph are an example; yours are engraved in their place.
How it wears
The names are engraved into the titanium rather than printed on it. Titanium is light, at 4.5 grams per cubic centimetre, and hypoallergenic.
Choosing yours
Give us the names exactly as you want them, for example Sarah & Nick, when you order. A ring made with your names is yours alone, so it cannot come back for a change of mind.
Width by width
| Width | How it reads | Weight, est. | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6mm | Classic, the usual starting point for a band | 2.2g | £299 |
| 7mm | Classic to broad, more of the pattern shows | 2.5g | £299 |
| 8mm | Broad, a ring that is clearly there | 2.9g | £324 |
| 9mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.3g | £324 |
| 10mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.6g | £324 |
Weights are estimates for a plain band of the same width in titanium at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall, from the model in our ring weight calculator. A pattern cut into the surface removes a little metal, so the finished ring is slightly lighter. The price steps up at the widths that take more metal to make.

The metal, in brief
Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. Our maker says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.
Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.
Compared side by side: Anodised zirconium or titanium, Black zirconium or titanium, Sterling silver or titanium. Or read the full titanium guide.
About Linked names, titanium
- Can this ring be resized?
- A little, and only larger. Titanium is not cut and rejoined like gold, but the inside of the band can often be machined to make it slightly bigger. Because it cannot go smaller, the size is settled when you order and the ring is made to that measurement.
- Is engraving included?
- Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
- How long will it take?
- 2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
- How much does the Linked names, titanium ring weigh?
- About 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
- What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
- 6 to 10mm. 6mm, 7mm are £299, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £324, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
- What is closest to the Linked names, titanium in the range?
- Latin phrase, titanium (titanium) and Heartbeat, titanium (titanium). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
- What if I get the size wrong?
- Settle the size before it is made, because a ring made with your names cannot come back for a change of mind. Use the free ring size finder, or choose I do not know yet and we confirm the size with you before anything is made. If the ring arrives in a size other than the one you ordered, we put it right.
