Multi toned · Titanium with solid gold inlay

Rose gold line, offset

From £475

A rose gold line set off centre, with a groove beside it.

The inlay sits toward one edge of a polished titanium band with a fine groove alongside it, so the ring reads differently from each side of the hand. Solid 9ct rose gold, flush with the surface and hallmarked at Birmingham.

About this ring

Rose gold line, offset, in detail

The inlay on this band sits off centre. A line of solid 9ct rose gold runs toward one edge of polished titanium, with a fine groove beside it, so the ring is asymmetric by design. Turned one way, the rose line leads; turned the other, the groove and a broad stretch of bright metal come first. The polished titanium mirrors whatever is around it, and the rose gold lays a warm stripe through that reflection, the one constant colour on a surface that keeps changing.

How it wears

Polished titanium shows its history more readily than satin: fine marks from daily wear appear as faint lines on the mirror face, and over time they soften the shine rather than spoil it. The rose gold inlay is solid and flush, with no edge to catch. Titanium keeps the ring very light, and the whole band is hypoallergenic. The groove is a recessed line, so it stays crisp while the surfaces around it take the touch of everyday life.

Choosing yours

This suits someone who likes a ring a little off the expected line, quite literally. On a narrow band, 4 or 5mm, the offset is subtle and the rose gold sits close to the edge; at 8 to 10mm there is enough width for the asymmetry to read clearly from across a table. It pairs with itself, and because the ring can be worn either way round, two can be worn mirrored, the lines on opposite sides, which makes a matched pair that is not identical.

The metal, in brief

Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.

Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Rose gold line, offset

Can this ring be resized?
Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
Is engraving included?
Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
How long will it take?
2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
Can I return it if I have it engraved?
Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
How much does the Rose gold line, offset ring weigh?
About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £475, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £500, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
What is closest to the Rose gold line, offset in the range?
Twin platinum lines, titanium (titanium with gold inlay) and Twin gold lines, titanium (titanium with gold inlay). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
