About this ring

Rose and yellow gold inlay, in detail

A single 3mm inlay of solid 9ct gold, divided along its length so rose sits against yellow, is set flush into a satin titanium band. The join between the two golds is the design: a warm pink and a brighter yellow meeting edge to edge, framed by grey titanium on either side. The second version exchanges yellow for white gold, which cools the ring and lets the rose stand out more strongly. No ring in the range sets a wider band of gold, and this one shows plainly that it is made of more than one precious metal.

How it wears

Beneath the gold the band is titanium, so a broad strip of precious metal does not make the ring heavy; it stays light enough to forget about. The titanium can pick up fine marks, and its satin finish softens how they look. The gold lies flush, with no step at either edge to catch on knitwear. The ring is hypoallergenic, which matters for skin that reacts to nickel. Rough, abrasive work is the one setting where it is better kept off the hand.

Choosing yours

There are two decisions: which pair of golds, and how much titanium around them. Rose and yellow is warm from edge to edge; white and rose is cooler, with the rose as its only warm note. On a 4 or 5mm band the 3mm inlay fills most of the face and the ring reads as gold; at 8 to 10mm grey titanium frames it and the gold becomes a centre panel. It suits someone whose jewellery already mixes metals, and it sits well beside a partner wearing a single gold, such as Gold line, titanium or Rose line, titanium.

The metal, in brief

Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.

Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Rose and yellow gold inlay

Can this ring be resized?
Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
Is engraving included?
Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
How long will it take?
2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
Can I return it if I have it engraved?
Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
How much does the Rose and yellow gold inlay ring weigh?
About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £575, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £600, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
What is closest to the Rose and yellow gold inlay in the range?
Gold line, black (black zirconium with gold inlay) and Rose on relieved black (black zirconium with gold inlay). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
What if I get the size wrong?
If it is unengraved, return it inside 30 days and we refund it, and we pay the postage. Use the free ring size finder first if you are unsure, and if the ring is a surprise, ask us and we will talk you through the ways to find out without asking them.
