About this ring

Twin gold lines, titanium, in detail

Two narrow lines of solid 9ct gold run side by side around a satin titanium band, each one flush with the surface. Rather than one bold stripe, the gold is split into a pair of fine threads with a strip of grey between them, and the eye reads that rhythm before it reads the colour. In daylight the gold lines catch while the titanium stays soft, so the ring has a quiet glint rather than a shine. Yellow, rose or white gold can be chosen for the lines.

How it wears

The inlays sit level with the titanium, so the surface is continuous to the touch, with no edge to catch. Titanium is light, at about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre, and the ring stays easy to wear even at 10mm. Over time the satin titanium may collect fine marks, which the brushed finish tends to absorb. The gold is solid and hallmarked rather than plated, so its colour is the metal's own. Everything here is hypoallergenic.

Choosing yours

Colour comes first. Yellow gives the clearest contrast against grey; rose is warmer and a little softer; white gold turns the two lines into a subtle tonal stripe that only shows when the light moves. Width comes second: 4 or 5mm suits a slimmer finger and keeps the ring narrow and light, while 8 to 10mm leaves more titanium on either side of the lines. The design pairs with itself, so a couple can share it and choose different golds.

The metal, in brief

Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.

Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Twin gold lines, titanium

Can this ring be resized?
Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
Is engraving included?
Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
How long will it take?
2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
Can I return it if I have it engraved?
Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
How much does the Twin gold lines, titanium ring weigh?
About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £449, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £475, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
What is closest to the Twin gold lines, titanium in the range?
White and rose gold lines (titanium with gold inlay) and Rose gold line, offset (titanium with gold inlay). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
