About this ring
Morse code, titanium, in detail
At a glance this is a satin titanium band with a run of short and long marks cut around it, a pattern like any other. Up close the marks are dots and dashes, and they spell out whatever you choose: a name, a date, a place, three words that mean something to two people. The cuts catch the light against the matte ground, so the message shows as a quiet broken line. It is engraving turned inside out, worn on the face of the ring where anyone can see it and almost nobody can read it.
How it wears
Titanium keeps the ring light and is hypoallergenic, so it is comfortable from the first morning. The satin face hides the small marks of ordinary life well, and because the message is cut into the metal rather than printed onto it, it is part of the band itself. The dots and dashes can gather a little soap over time; warm water and a soft brush bring them clear. Heavy or abrasive work is the one time to take it off.
Choosing yours
The band comes from 4 to 10mm. A narrow one keeps the code fine and discreet, right for someone who wants the message to stay almost private; a wider one gives the dots and dashes more presence and suits a larger hand.
The words are the real decision. The design pairs with itself, and two rings can carry the same message or a different one each, so each partner wears words chosen by the other. Either way, the meaning travels with the ring and only the two of you hold the key.
Width by width
| Width | How it reads | Weight, est. | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4mm | Slim, the quietest everyday width | 1.5g | £199 |
| 5mm | Between slim and classic | 1.8g | £199 |
| 6mm | Classic, the usual starting point for a band | 2.2g | £199 |
| 7mm | Classic to broad, more of the pattern shows | 2.5g | £199 |
| 8mm | Broad, a ring that is clearly there | 2.9g | £225 |
| 9mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.3g | £225 |
| 10mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.6g | £225 |
Weights are estimates for a plain band of the same width in titanium at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall, from the model in our ring weight calculator. A pattern cut into the surface removes a little metal, so the finished ring is slightly lighter. The price steps up at the widths that take more metal to make.

The metal, in brief
Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.
Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.
Compared side by side: Anodised zirconium or titanium, Black zirconium or titanium, Sterling silver or titanium. Or read the full titanium guide.
About Morse code, titanium
- Can this ring be resized?
- Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
- Is engraving included?
- Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
- How long will it take?
- 2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
- Can I return it if I have it engraved?
- Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
- How much does the Morse code, titanium ring weigh?
- About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
- What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
- 4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £199, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £225, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
- What is closest to the Morse code, titanium in the range?
- Faceted, titanium (titanium) and Hammered titanium (titanium). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
- What if I get the size wrong?
- If it is unengraved, return it inside 30 days and we refund it, and we pay the postage. Use the free ring size finder first if you are unsure, and if the ring is a surprise, ask us and we will talk you through the ways to find out without asking them.
