Celtic
From £269
A continuous knot, cut rather than printed.
Laser cut into the surface to a controlled depth, so the pattern has real relief and shadow rather than being a dark line on a flat face. One of several Celtic patterns we can cut; this is the one we would start with.

About this ring
Celtic, in detail
A continuous Celtic knot cut into satin titanium by laser, to a controlled depth. Because the pattern is cut rather than printed, it has real relief: the knot throws its own small shadows and the light catches its edges, so it reads as carved line rather than a dark drawing on a flat surface. The knot runs unbroken round the band, with no start and no end. Several Celtic patterns can be cut, and this is the one we would begin with.
How it wears
Light at about 4.5 grams per cubic centimetre, and hypoallergenic, titanium makes this an easy ring to wear all day. At around Mohs 6 it picks up fine marks over time, and this is where a relief pattern helps: small scuffs fall among the cut lines and their shadows and are hard to see. The satin finish does the same for the plain areas. Heavy or abrasive work is better done with the ring off, which keeps the face crisp around the knot.
Choosing yours
A knot needs room to show its turns, so 6mm and wider gives the pattern space to read; at 4 or 5mm it becomes finer and more delicate.
Celtic, black and Celtic, anodised carry the same tradition into black and coloured zirconium, and Celtic, gold lines sets it beside gold, so a couple can share the motif while each chooses a different metal. It suits anyone with a family tie to the tradition, or simply a liking for a line that never breaks.
Width by width
| Width | How it reads | Weight, est. | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4mm | Slim, the quietest everyday width | 1.5g | £269 |
| 5mm | Between slim and classic | 1.8g | £269 |
| 6mm | Classic, the usual starting point for a band | 2.2g | £269 |
| 7mm | Classic to broad, more of the pattern shows | 2.5g | £269 |
| 8mm | Broad, a ring that is clearly there | 2.9g | £295 |
| 9mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.3g | £295 |
| 10mm | Wide and bold, best on a larger hand | 3.6g | £295 |
Weights are estimates for a plain band of the same width in titanium at UK size N with a 1.6mm wall, from the model in our ring weight calculator. A pattern cut into the surface removes a little metal, so the finished ring is slightly lighter. The price steps up at the widths that take more metal to make.

The metal, in brief
Titanium is by a distance the lightest metal we make rings in. At about 4.5 g per cubic centimetre it is under a third the reference density of 18ct yellow gold. GETi says it normally uses Grade 2 for its designs and reserves higher-tensile Grade 5 for tension-set rings, so the exact grade belongs in the specification of the ring rather than a range-wide claim.
Surface hardness Mohs 6, density 4.5 g/cm³, and hypoallergenic, so it is a sound choice for skin that reacts to nickel. It is not a precious metal, so it carries no hallmark.

About Celtic
- Can this ring be resized?
- Limited enlargement may be possible. GETi says grade 5 titanium cannot be stretched or compressed: machining the inside larger removes metal and cannot reduce the size. Wall thickness, stones and inlays limit that option. Grade 2 titanium has different possibilities, so check the actual grade and design. A remake may be offered instead; confirm what happens to the original ring, engraving and finish before agreeing.
- Is engraving included?
- Yes, and it is optional. Leave the box blank and the ring is made plain. If you do want one it is laser cut inside the band where the ring is made, rather than sent out to a third party, and there is no charge and no extra wait.
- How long will it take?
- 2 to 3 weeks. It is made in your size after you order, not picked off a shelf, and that is the reason the widths and finishes are open choices.
- Can I return it if I have it engraved?
- Not for a change of mind. An engraving makes the ring clearly personalised, which puts it outside the statutory right to cancel, and it cannot be resold. Every ring shop draws the line here. Order it plain and you keep the full 30 days. Either way, a ring that arrives faulty or is not what you ordered is covered by the Consumer Rights Act, which nothing waives.
- How much does the Celtic ring weigh?
- About 1.5g at 4mm, 2.2g at 6mm, 3.6g at 10mm, estimated for a plain band in titanium at UK size N. Larger sizes and wider bands weigh more. It is a light ring by any standard: 18ct gold of the same size is more than twice the weight.
- What widths does it come in, and do they cost the same?
- 4 to 10mm. 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm are £269, and 8mm, 9mm, 10mm £295, because the wider bands take more metal to make.
- What is closest to the Celtic in the range?
- Runes, titanium (titanium) and Ogham, titanium (titanium). The comparison table on this page sets them side by side on metal, width, hardness and price.
- What if I get the size wrong?
- If it is unengraved, return it inside 30 days and we refund it, and we pay the postage. Use the free ring size finder first if you are unsure, and if the ring is a surprise, ask us and we will talk you through the ways to find out without asking them.
